The challenge of this piece is to use the fairy tale as a theme. I use monochromatic tones of grey to represent the scary environment and the wolf. I use blue on the road to show the positive path to the woods. The focal point of this piece is "Red" meeting the sinister Wolf. I wanted Red Riding Hood to be a vivid color in contrast to the Wolf because she is extending her hand to the Wolf. By using print making, I wanted to emphasize the rough textures of the environment.
